Acoustical  Engineering

Looking for a simple way to make your smart room better, start with good acoustics.

What is Acoustical Engineering ?  It’s using science to design & build for optimal sound performance.

As collaboration and teamwork become increasingly important in the workplace, open floor plans, rather than private offices and cubicles, has made sound privacy practically non-existent. We live in noisy environments, whether that’s in the office, at a restaurant or at venues, but what about when you don’t want to be heard?

But how could you reduce noise in the workplace without separating and boxing everyone out in their own space?

Surprisingly the answer is by adding more noise. Absorb, Block and Cover… it’s the ABC’s of acoustic design:

Surprisingly the answer is by adding more noise. Absorb, Block and Cover… it’s the ABC’s of acoustic design:

  • A - Absorption
  • B-Blocking
  • C-Covering

How much sound needs to be soaked up? This gives the right amount of reflective sound for optimized audio retention.

Blocking the sound to the right direction. This is done through calculation of the room size and commonly used in Open area offices.

Covering is done to block out conversations or noise to increase productivity for open area offices by adding sound. Also known as sound masking.
